How Long is the Recovery Period Following Dental Implants?

Last updated 3 years ago

If you are about to schedule a dental implant, you are probably wondering how long it will take you to fully recover from the procedure. The recovery period can depend on a number of different factors, such as the health of the patient’s bones and whether there are any other procedures accompanying the dental implants. Due to recent bone research, some patients have experienced very short healing times with certain products. Even though this is becoming increasingly common, the recovery period typically lasts anywhere from two to four months. In order to maintain healthy gums and bones once the healing process is over, it is important to receive periodic check-ups.

We offer dental implants along with other general and cosmetic products and services, including Invisalign and teeth whitening, at the offices of Dr. Kenn Kakosian, D.D.S., P.C. We are located at 405 Lexington Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. For more information about our dental services, give us a call at (212) 661-9777.
